Why are so many New Year’s resolutions about health and fitness? Because our fitness routine is the first to go when things get busy.

Well, like pet parent, like pet.

It might start with behavior problems. Maybe your dog’s daily exercise gets skipped for just a couple of days. On the third day, you come home from work to a pee pee spot strategically placed for your observation. 😉

As inconvenient as that might be, it’s only the beginning. This time of year, it is easy include our pets in our bounty of treats. Oh sure, we’re careful not to feed them harmful foods like chocolate. Yet, indulging them with too much food is par for the course.

Soon, January the first rolls around and we are looking at ourselves and our four-legged family members and making a resolution to get back into shape.
