Press Release:  July 1, 2022, Raleigh, NC-The North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Northeast Seminars are excited to announce their new partnership in providing continuing education and certification courses to benefit the fields of veterinary sports medicine, rehabilitation, and canine fitness. This will include a brand-new program in canine strength and conditioning. Registration for this exciting new program is now open!

The new program in Canine Strength and Conditioning Coaching (CSCC) is intended for professionals that want to understand and implement proper canine training techniques, foundational training, exercises specific to canine movement, safe and effective use of equipment, and program design specific to each individual client’s needs.

We have brought together a team of instructors who brings a wealth of knowledge with a wide variety of expertise. Our program director, Bobbie Lyons, is a pioneer of canine fitness bringing over 18 years of experience educating students around the globe. Bobbie’s students come from veterinary medicine, sport competitors, dog trainers and pet dog owners. Dr. Sherman Canapp is a leader in veterinary orthopedics, regenerative and sports medicine, while Dr. Beth Bauer specializes in sports medicine, behavior, surgery, reproduction and PennHip radiographs. Meredith Wille is proficient in canine fitness and rehabilitation, and Kirsten Holt brings an extensive background in canine fitness, behavior, and training.
